When I think of Carol Walck and Associates I think of “whole life”. Carol has transformed my son from a shy, nonverbal, low self-esteemed young boy to a social, verbal, and outgoing young man. Carol and her amazing co-workers, LeeAnne and Theresa, not only work on speech and language issues, but they work on the entire client. Or, should I say the “whole life” of a client. From childhood to adulthood and all of the fun stuff in the middle! Carol, LeeAnne, and Theresa work shoulder-to-shoulder with the parents/guardians to help their clients reach their full potential. They never say “he/she can’t” they say “he/she can” when it comes to a challenge with a client. No challenge is too difficult for this highly qualified staff. The therapists work numerous angles until they find an avenue that connects with the clients.
Carol, LeeAnne, and Theresa show their commitment to their clients on a daily basis. It is rare that an appointment is cancelled. The therapists continue to attend conferences to educate themselves to benefit their clients. They are also extremely involved with outside agencies to educate the general public. Carol, LeeAnne, and Theresa are an outstanding group of professional women. They are committed to help their clients but they also help the family unit. If your family is experiencing a difficult situation they will do whatever they can to help the client’s family through the situation. I have been extremely fortunate to have received services for my son from Carol. I feel so blessed to have found someone who I can trust with my most precious thing, my son. Carol is not only my son’s therapist but she is his cheerleader. Carol has attended school meetings with me to fight for what we believed was best for him. Carol has gone to battle too many times to count to help my son in social areas that he was struggling in. Carol has given me the strength to keep on fighting when I felt I could not. Carol has been my rock pushing me to walk through doors that were slammed shut on my son. I am and will be forever grateful to Carol for not only saving my son from a sad and lonely life but giving him his voice to enjoy his world and except his uniqueness.
